Design Background:

Internships at Celia Birtwell in London, Alexander McQueen in London, Diane Von Furstenberg in New York and John Galliano in Paris.




Project title:

Printed Silk Velvet



The collection is inspirited by filmography called ‘A Mood of Love’ incorporating with the beautiful carving textures and colours of pagodas. Using luxurious fabrics, different textures merging with prints to enhance the fluidity of the garment. The collection is a textural one where the different prints come to life on the body and through it’s movement.




Where do you get inspiration from in general?

Art, photography, exhibition, film, things that I see


How is your process when you design?

Drawing and taking photos, experimenting with different fabrics, colours and textures.


What are your strenghts?

Colours and textures, I love to experiment with different fabric and drawing.




What are your weaknesses?

Being too perfectionist.


What techniques did you use:

Hand screen print – acid dye, pigment, devore, dye. Digital print, crochet and drapery with silk knit.




What technique is your favorite?

Screen print –acid dye, because the luxurious and luminous colour it makes on fabrics.


How long did you work on this project?

6 months


What made you pursue Print?

Its allows much creativity in colours, textures, fabrics and drawings. Increase knowledge in printing techniques – transfer print, screen printing and dying fabrics.




Why did you choose Central Saint Martins?

It allows so much creativity. 


What advice would you give new students?

You can learn a lot from your fellow students and listen to your tutors.


Why do you want to be a designer?

To create something beautiful for people to wear and make them feel confident.




What was your childhood dream job?

A designer.


Have you ever been nominated or won a design competition?

London Borough of Barnet logo design.
