Exhibition – ‘Innovating Sustainable Fashion 2009’

31 young designers will present their bids for innovative and sustainable design at the Danish Design Center, from Tuesday the 8th December. The exhibition Innovating SUSTAINABLE FASHION offers an inspiring wealth of innovative designs, which allegedly include biodegradable raincoats, futuristic macho street wear and feminine underwear with flowers incorporated into the design.

Design Students from Kolding School of Design, the Danish Design School, Teko and KEA design / business exhibits 19 concepts that have been part of the design competition Innovating SUSTAINABLE FASHION.

Opening reception on the 8th December 2009 between 15:00 and 17:00
The exhibition runs from 8 December to 31 January in “magazine”, Danish Design Center, HC Andersens Boulevard 27, DK-1553 Copenhagen V

Fashion Show – ‘Innovating Sustainable Fashion 2009’

Fashion Show on Tuesday 2nd December, showcased in the Locomotive Workshop at Otto Busses Vej 5A, Copenhagen.
Five award-winning concepts are granted special attention:

1. prize / Innovation prize of 15,000 dkr went to the concept: ClangBoomSteam created by Tobias Noe Harboe. The Danish Design School.

2. prize / Design Prize in 5000 dkr went to the concept: Totem created by Tina Winther Rysgaard and Trine Maja Kristoffersen. The Danish Design School.

3. prize was divided into categories: Design for Inclusion, Design for Environment and Design Considering Use:
– Design for Inclusion went to the concept: True2 created by Tobias Nielsen and Joanna Graugaard Andersen. Kea Design / Business
– Design for Environment went to the concept: Biodegradable Water landscape created by Lea Parkin Benjaminsen, Camilla Skøtt Christiansen and Randi Samonsen. The Design School in Kolding.
– Design Considering Use went to the concept: Cut Off created by Stefan Autzen. The Danish Design School.

Textile Exhibition – ‘New concepts of Textile Design’

MA Graduation Fashion Show at City Hall, Copenhagen – 7th of August 2009

Thursday the 7th of August at 10 pm, Copenhagen City Hall provides a framework for the show where the new graduates will display their fashion collections.

BA Fashion Graduates Exhibit at Illum

BA Graduates show their work at ILLUM August 2009: Fashion in the making – New Fashion Concepts

The Exhibition is displayed on the top floor of ILLUM and around the house there will be 10 tableaux showing small design universes from the designers.

The ten upcoming designers are studying at the Danish Design School and have just finished their BA.  The exhibition shows how fashion looks in the making. Get an idea of how fashion moves, and how the first ideas become reality, before they reach the catwalk and shops.
